Our mission:
The Korean War Memorial Committee aims to raise awareness of the Korean War and to honor those who lost their lives in pursuit of freedom. In order to do so, the Committee intends to install a monument in Memorial Park, located in Pasadena, California. The committee strives for inclusion and hold immense respect for the sacrifice made by all Korean War Veterans.
The Pasadena Korean War Memorial Committee is formed by Veterans and individuals that support Veterans in Pasadena. We feel the need to recognize those who participated and made the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. Specifically, we intend to honor all Korean War Veterans originally from Pasadena and neighboring cities. Recognizing that Veterans are quickly diminishing in numbers, a sense of urgency has been instilled in our group. We expect the project to be completed over several years. Our implementation plan addresses a number of administrative elements, including monument design, agency agreements, budgeting, fundraising, city permits and commission approvals, construction, and more.
We meet on the third Thursday of each month at the American Legion Hall Pasadena Post 13 located at 131 N Marengo Ave, Pasadena, CA 91101 at 6:300 p.m.
Join our mailing list and stay up to date on our events, fundraisers, and meetings.
Our committee is made up of volunteers interested in installing a Korean War Memorial at Memorial Park in Pasadena. Volunteer to join our Board of Directors or committee.
If you are a Veteran or Veteran supporter in the community there are various ways you can support our efforts. Every donation helps us more our project along further, so please consider a donation of any amount to support the Monument Project. Consider applying to join the committee.
Take a look at our concept design so far. What would the monument look like at Memorial Park.
